We enjoyed a nice trip and stay down there. The apartment worked fine and we enjoyed the view on the balcony, every night out over the bay.
I can recommend that you spend at least one day visiting the Gorges du Verdon and combine this with a trip down to the Lac de Sainte-Croix if you like nature. We can recommend taking the trip along the D.23 from east to west side, where the road is one-way and you can thereby get close to the gorge all the way around.
We took the return trip via Napoleon's route (N85) which is also incredibly beautiful.
